I started to see drops of fluid on the floor (seems like tranny fluid since it is red). But couldn’t find where it came from.
so I pressure washed the diff covered with dirt and grease (probably from previous leaks), wiped and wire-brushed as best as I could.
I also serviced transmission last winter, drain and fill, replaced the filter and gasket, torqued the pan bolts to about 140 inch/lb. But this leak appeared before the service in case you might think I messed it up due to my gasket replacement. No leak around the pan gasket it seems.
Now if I leave the car parked for weeks, no leaks. If I take it for a drive, there are small amount of fluid coming from where trans connects to the diff.If I don’t wipe it off, and keep using the car, it will then form drops on the floor. I suspect when the car heats up, the fluid expands, and somehow breaches the seal there. Picture is attached. Is this a bad problem? What is the fix? Can you simply apply some sealant there?

That particular GM leak tends to come and go... Evidently you and I are the only ones concerning this leaking Corvette being regulated outa the main flow... Bummer
Another source of oil leaks are the inner and outer rear seals of the extension housing, so I changed these too while they were accessible. If you have red ATF oil leaking between the transmission and the differential, these seals have failed

Did you do anything?
I searched some threads, and people seem to put RTV where the leaks come out. I have no intention to take the diff out for this....or I might as well sell the car due to the cost. Can't do that myself. But rubbing that area with some RTV sounds attractive. I got some JB Weld products and will try it this week.
Oh wow, very good article. Thanks, although mine is auto, but the symptom looks very similar.
That is a crazy repair that in no way I will do. I didnt read it through carefully, but will do when I have time.
