My C5 hibernates for the winters in NY. I started it up this weekend for the first time and noticed a half cup of coolant underneath it. The coolant was fresh. I let it warm up and drove it. when parked, it did not drip. Today I took it for a hard ride. Still dry underneath. Can anyone tell me why I saw the fresh coolant underneath at original startup? should I look to change anything? Thanks in advance
Are you sure that coolant came from your Corvette, I don't think any C5's came with Ethene Glycol 'Green' coolant they came from Bowling green with Dexcool Coolant, this is my coolant reservoir tank.
maybe it's not coolant then ....do we have any green fluid in our cars?
Open the hood and look at your coolant reservoir. Is the stuff in it green? If not, you have ruled out a coolant leak.
If your coolant IS green, look at the coolant level and see how low it is.
