So the passenger cat in my c5 got smacked pretty good when it was in the accident, and it's now contacting the tunnel and making a horrible rattle.
Don't have funds at the moment for headers and an x pipe, anyone ever just cut the cats out and weld in some pipe? Or should i just try clearancing the cat around where it's hitting?
I’ve seen someone cut out the cats. But you can also try and find some oem used cats. I’ve seen them all over the place for cheap because no one really wants them after installing long tubes.
I've looked, and it seems like some of the OE parts are getting ridiculous in price as well. Nearest set i can find wants 500 for the mid pipe lol, and theyre like 6 hours away.
Cat removal?
