Default Golden Rod

hello folks.. was adjusting vertical adj on 02 headlights.. little too high, adjusted right side down to where needs to be,
but, the rod twisted off on the left side, I have the cover off and see the adjustment in, so i need to take out the headlight I m thinking and get at the adjuster.. is there a way to adjust it with out taking it out ? and can the rod be replaced or need to replace whole adjuster ? I have read many threads on it, and does not look promising...
Any thoughts or ideas appreciated..
TIA..

I had the same issue, I just replaced the whole adjuster. Its not a difficult job just a little tedious.

The rod can be replaced but I have no experience with it yet. So I'm not sure if you can adjust the light without replacing it or taking the light out. You will have to remove it to replace the rod I'm sure though.

Here's a link to the new rod..

I looked at that before.. seems like is just the rod, and lot of drilling and finessing.Rather just buy the complete adjuster.
i see them on Fleabay and a few site.
Thank you

Sorry to see that Rodney Dickman is closing up his shop. He's helped out a lot of Corvette owners, over the years, with the parts/kits that he's made....

Rodney was a great benefit for the Fiero Community too. I help test some parts he prototyped. He did great work and tested his products.

I used his headlight kits to save my Fiero motors. You can't buy the motors anymore and they saved my system.

Lubing them is why!! These are hardly ever used. 10 years, or more, can elapse between adjustments. I always spray some penetrating oil on mine a week or so prior to any twisting. Like everything else, use it, or lose it. Bad for any mechanical part to go unused for years at a time....
