Differential Upgrades....A few Questions????
I have a 99 FRC Lingenfelter twin turbo'd car making 544 rwhp/592 rwt. It has no other alterations except engine, radiator & fuel system. I would like to upgrade the diff within a budget.
My plan is to install an ECS differential brace & the HPE differential mount.
It is my understanding that the weak point of the differential is the left hand output shaft. Is it true all I need to replace is LH C6 Z06 output shaft: 89060119 & reseal it, no shimming anything?
To replace the right hand side, do I need
RH C6 Z06 output shaft: 89060120 $38.19
RH C6 Z06 Side gear: 19180962 $76.00
RH C6 Z06 Side gear retaining ring: 12458084 $5.46s there shimming involved
And again reseal it, no shimming involved?
It seems like the next weak point is the pinion support. I see aftermarket billet ones & C6Z06 GM 89060110. What is involved in installing this? Is there any shimming involved? And, since they are similiarly priced, which is better, GM or the billet aftermarket pinion support?
Am I missing anything? Thanks in advance.
