I am trying to tap the drl/turn signal circuit for my push button start. The push button module gets a signal from the door lock, along with the pulse from the lights when locking/unlocking to activate/deactivate power to the button.
I originally tapped into the lights on the climate control, which works for unlocking but not locking.
I tapped the wire from the light switch in the car, but it doesn’t get power from the remote.
is there somewhere at the BCM inside the car I can tap, that the BCM sends signal to the lights when locking with the remote?
I used the door lock/unlock wires on the bcm in the driver's door. Does you system not use a proximity sensor to activate/deactivate the start button?
yeah, I used the same but my system also uses a pulse from the factory alarm when disabling. Instructions state to tap the turn signal or running light. I guess so just unlocking the door does not activate the switch, has to have the lock/unlock pulse plus a pulse that the alarm is activate/deactivated.
