I have a 2001 LS6 in my restomod Corvette. It’s always had a “ticking” sound it it. Blamed it on the new serpentine system.
Now I learn about bad valve springs in 2002 and 2003 LS6s’.
I’m unable to locate the thread by SKYAVONEE - about the issues and possibllities.
My VIN indicates I have a 2001 with ending serial number 08,544.
Just wanting to confirm info about PAC 1518 and 1218 before I order and tear down.
Just my opinion, but the springs will soon be pushing 25yrs old. If they were my springs they'd be s-canned, and new PACs or PSIs would be installed. Dont know specs on the springs you're looking at. But you're now going to know you're OK, and ready for a cam if you so desire.....
