my driver side leans all the way back and touches the trunk rest (which i like) but my passenger side doesn’t lean all the way back (attached photo) when i try to mess with it, the passenger side seat gets stuck in a upright position like 90 degree angle, super annoying. then i have to start pulling at the plastic handle behind the headrest and on the side of the seat. both seem very random. after a few minutes, the seat randomly falls and leans back to a normal position. but it still doesn’t touch the back of the trunk like my driver side does.
Try moving the seat forward an inch or two, see if it will lay back the way you like it then. Mine will lean against the lower part of the cockpit compartment if it's all the way back and if I move it forward a little it will lean back farther.
Tilt the seat all the way fowardand hold it there. Then pull up on the recline lever until you hear a click then check the seat. I learned this trick from Lyle at C&S

im afraid if i do this, the passenger seat will get stuck in a super forward position, making it useless. the plastic handle on the side, doesnt seem reliable/operating.
are my seats broken?
