Pipedream, BOTH CM cams that failed were bought thru Futral. Not his fault, as CM grinds the cams. One was in 2005, the other was in 2020. But it does make you wonder. It's been too long to remember which lobe went bad 18 years ago. BUT-I DO remember it was near the rear of the cam, and definitely not the last lobe. It was either #8 exhaust, like now, or #6 intake Personally, after all the *** busting it takes to pull the heads and cam, I'm sure as Hell not going to go with a 3rd CM cam. Even if they'd give me a free one, it won't cover the close to $6,000 repair bill I have, nor cover the *** busting I'm taking. I had a very.....uh.....interesting thread I posted on Tech about this. I got called everything from bored to having psychological issues(!!). Some guys there apparently think nobody grinds/hardens bad lobes, especially CM. That or they work at, or own shares in, CM.... ..

Yes, and we can sometimes be hushed or reprimanded for commenting on vendors if they are paying members of internet brands.
