Default TPIS headers questions

Will TPIS headers off a 01 fit on a 02? Second I have an X pipe already is the H pipe that comes with the TPIS needed? Last how would these connect to my stock cat pipe (on the 02) without the H pipe? do they just need clamps or would they need to be welded permanently? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Marc

I'm pretty sure that the TPIS headers off an '01 will fit an '02. The H pipe that comes with the TPIS headers is used to connect the headers to the rest of the stock exhaust. The header collector slides into the H pipe. The H pipe is welded to the front of the stock cats. The slip fit allows you to take apart the system easily. I chose to use the H pipe on my car along with the X pipe I already had after the cats. I know there are others on this forum that haven't used the H pipe. Its your preference.

01 and 02 are the same. You will need the h-pipe that comes with the TPIS headers in order to connect the factory center section to the headers. you can still use an x-pipe though :seeya
