I’m very curious if anyone else has experienced this problem I’m having with my 2003, I need help. Every time my car sits for more than about 20 minutes if i try to start it it tells me reduced engine power, service active handling, service traction control system, service tpms, low fuel, and low oil. Then it doesn’t even crank it just dies. If i unplug the battery and plug it back in it starts and drives totally normal until it sits for a bit again, then the same thing happens. The pcm, grounding points, and steering harness have been replaced by the dealer in hopes to fix this issue but nothing has changed. please let me know if there’s any other ideas before i start throwing more money at it. Thank you
Classic serial data bus issues…forget about the dealership diagnosing this because they’re CLUELESS !!…this is not a hard diagnosis!!…all of the cars modules communicate with each through a single wire that allows all these modules to talk to one another…if that single wire is shorted to power or ground you’ll see all those DIC messages, fuel gauge goes to E, water temp maxes out, power windows don’t work and car will either not start or start and stall…what we have found here through the years is the driver door module connection which is inside a rubber boot which is seen when you open the door…shake the rubber boot to improve that connection and see what happens and if that doesn’t work report back and we will try something else…if you have a scan tool and try to connect it all you’ll see is “can’t communicate” with the car…if this diagnosis is over your head take the car to an auto electric shop and tell them you have this issue…do you have a copy of the repair order ??…curious to see what they found.
