Hello, I am a new member for the forum. I have been looking for a Corvette for five years. i finally found one in August 2023.It had 88 K miles on with a mild cam and MP1200 supercharger. I paid 24.5 cash for it as a retirement gift to myself and I had planned on using it as a track car at Thunderhill in California. The car ran great for 8 months and is an absolute joy to drive in every way. About 4 months ago it started to not start intermittently, turn it off and try to restart with nothing, just flat line, wait ten minutes and then starts right up. Eventually it would not start at all. Since I bought it, it has thrown active handling codes and HVAC codes. I had it aligned by a former Corvette race driver and the active handling errors stopped. I paid a mobile mechanic to install a new ignition switch, and both actuators, and once installed the car would not start. But said pull key after 10 seconds. So, he found a brown wire at the BCM that was disconnected, fixed that and reinstalled the old switch and the car started perfectly. However, the fob and alarm system would not work, apparently, he damaged the connection, so I took it to an alarm shop, and they got the fob and alarm working again. Also, the AC will turn on and then go off within a few seconds, it blows very hot air and fuse 24 blows immediately. A week goes by and now the car will not start again. I hired another mobile mechanic, he found a resistor patched into the BCM, that was put in very bad, so he soldered two new resistors into and crimped the wires. He put in the old switch again and it starts right up, but is throwing codes P0645, P1546. i pulled the ac clutch relay and ordered a new one. After I reinstalled the old one, the car just cranks and will not start. It is now throwing codes RFA, SDM, TCS U1000, BCM B2527, U1255,SDM U1016, PCM no communication, Low fuel, reduced engine power, active handling. I have spent over $ 1500.00 dollars in parts and mobile mechanics over the last few weeks, and nobody can figure this thing out. I am extremely frustrated with this situation and am on the verge of letting the car go with a huge loss. It seems like a bottomless pit of never-ending repairs. I do not have the ability to fix this myself, but I was wondering if anybody here can recommend a Corvette specialist in the Sacramento Ca. area. As many good mechanics will not work on these cars and the ones who do cannot correctly diagnose the situation. I am scheduled to tow it to the Dealership next week, but I know what that is going to cost. And I have a supercharged Dodge Challenger in the shop with a 7 K plus repair bill at the same time. I am getting destroyed by these two cars financially. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
