Turn Signals do not Flash
Sorry for the repetition here, But I have an intermittent problem with my turn signals. When I turn left or right, the light on the dash will come on , but stays on, does not flash. The turn signals do not flash. If I turn off the engine, then turn it on again the turn signals will work. I have not tried the hazard flasher at the time the turn signals do not work. But on the few occasions that I have used the Hazard , they have worked.
This happens about once every 3-4 months.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The turn signals are controlled by the mechanism behind (and included in) the hazard button. It's a very common point of failure in these cars. It's a cheap part to replace but also a major PITA to get out (there are plenty of instructional videos). I did mine last summer, solved > 10 years of frustration with the turn signals. This could be your issue or might not - but it's only $20 to replace a known glitchy part and probably worth doing regardless.

Thanks Rich. I just ordered t he part for $25. I think I remember a year or so ago looking at a video on how to replace this unit. I believe up under the steering column and behind the dash . My son is more of a contortionist so I might have him do it.
