Hi all, been having this issue for a while now and my 1998 c5 Automatic shift light will not turn off(yes even after hours of the car being off, locked and keys removed) it keeps flattening my battery, surely someone here knows what's going on?

Poor form not presenting the back story. You changed the IPC in your 1998 with and IPC from a 2002, and have had issues with that swap.
The 1 to 4 light in your IPC needs a ground to stay illuminated from the PCM, and ignition voltage (hot in on and start) supplied by the IPC logic PCBA. That light should not be able illuminate when the key is in the off position. Sounds like you have additional problems with your IPC swap or the logic PCBA is damaged.

thanks for getting back to me, I didn't think to include that info as I thought they would be related.
alot of what you said has gone over my head(alot of technical talk hahaha) any idea how to properly fix this? Is their a reset I can do?
I was thinking i could redirect accessory power from my radio to this globe, that should work I guess but that being said. If this 1 to 4 globe is still being lit, could other things still be "running" while the car is off?
