The reason I ask is due to my current header search (I know, I know) and was wondering if it's possible that some of the headers get better #s than others is due to the included hi-flow cats.....
I believe Corey (SAXN8R) did a back to back at MTI with his FLP's and saw no difference, but this may have been no cats to hi-flo cats. I know when I took off the cats of my H/C vert, I gained 1/2 HP (yes, 0.5), but gained 17TQ. I would think hi-flo cats would help some on TQ, and would help HP if properly tuned for it, IMHO.
A total waste of money..either leave the stock ones on or take them completely off....The best setups are the new cats on the 02's and above model year...thats why they were able to get rid of the precats..because the new stock cats are made of a new material and they flow better. I have found good torque improvements by just eliminating the cats..
 This is what I like to hear, very cheap method!
