Default Help with possible fuel problem on 1997

Good Morning members.
I really need help from the gurus here. I have a 97 auto vette with about 168××× miles. At 102,000 miles I had the fuel pump and fuel filter replace because the car sat for 7 years in storage. The tanks were dropped and cleaned as well as the fuel lines. I had no issues with the cars fuel systems until I got the motor rebuilt in 2022 and the mileage was 156xxx.After the car sat for 6 months at the shop that was rebuilding the motor I notice that the car was hard to start in the mornings and I would have to cycle the key off and on 2 times and it would fire right up. I took the car to my tuner for dyno tuning. My said he noticed the hard start in the morning and said it was possibly the fuel pump.
Now in the mornings even after I cycle the key on and off in the mornings I have to give it light throttle to keep it running or it will shut off. I can hear the fuel pump priming each time the key is being cycled. Also if I can keep the car running long enough to warm up some it will idle on its own but after its warm if you rev it up up a few times as the rpm's come down it will shut off. If I start it up in the morning without giving it a little throttle it will lidle fine for about 15-30 seconds and then shut off and kinda hard to start back up. Sorry for the long threat but wanted to make sure I explained the best I could to what the car is doing. Could this be the sysptoms of a bad fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator. I bought a new ac delco fuel filter and wondering if I should get a new fuel pressure regulator since the one on the car is the original one. Any suggetion would be appreciated

Was the engine modify at all?? They may have damaged a wire. This happens. Many wire flopping around if their not careful. So the couldnt be tuned because it wouldn't start?

yes the car got heads, cam, headers and new deatsch werks 42lb injectors. The shop did replace the Crack sensor. The car does start but will only run about 30 seconds and then shut off if I don't give some throttle There is also no codes or check engine light coming on. I would assume that if it was a bad wire it either would not start or there would be a code. It idles great for those 30 seconds then it sounds like it ran out of gas

Intermittent is a big problem with these care. Even without codes.

I bet they washed their hands from this problem which is wrong.

Well unfortunately it's been like this since I got it back from the shop but it would always start and idle. Now it wont do even idle unless i keep the rpms up

*** UPDATE *** I got a fuel pressure gauge to check if indeed it was running low on pressure when the car would shut off . The gauge showed 54 psi when I put the key in the on position. I turn the key back off and the gauge stayed at 54 psi. Then I started the car and the gauge dropped to 0 then shot up to 58 psi and stayed there til the motor shut off (20-30 seconds) then the fuel pressure went back to 54 psi. What going on ?????

no as soon as the car starts the security light goes out. Is it possible it could be the fuel filter. I have no check engine light or codes when the car shuts off.

So you have all those mods on a stock tune with bigger injectors? No wonder it doesn't idle

Ok so what did he say about the issues? A good tuner should be able to figure out what's up
