Went to Z06 vette and did a search on Shaner TB's and holy crap they talk about it like it's gold. Post after post of "best mod I've done", "I recommend it to everyone", "and for only $169 and 30 minutes labor". Many of them did before and after dynos and they found a small gain in peek hp but found 5-6 hp/tq beginning at 5000 rpms. Anyone here using this? What do you think?
I have one. :D I don't have any dyno results, but my SOTP meter detected a slight increase in throttle response. Perhaps it was just my mind tho as I had just spent $100+ bones on it and didn't want to think I hadn't gained anything from it.
Good luck being able to get one, though. :( I've been talking to Mark Shaner on and off for well over a month, and he's not been able to get me a core to use, as he said my core is unusable (long story). I think I'm just going to port my own and be done with it...
My SOTP meter tells me the S2 is well worth the investment of $169. Throttle response is improved. Will see what the numbers tell us when next on the dyno and, most importantly, at the track.

Here's a thread I had read a while back about Shaner. About 2 pages of info, worth the look if you're considering. I've never worked with him, so I'm not accusing anything....just passing along info. :yesnod: :skep: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=468936
