I have a friend who has a 2002 Corvette with an STS twin turbo kit on it. I have been trying to find a vendor that sells parts for STS. It seems they are out of business. Is that true?
Car was blowing oil out of the pipes. His son put new turbos on it thinking it may be the seals. Don't know where he got them, but it is still blowing oil. I've been on line all day looking and talking to techs at Holley and Jegs. The tech at Holley seemed knowledgeable. He suggested replacing the scavenge pumps (return oil pumps). Does anyone know where to get these pumps? I am thinking specs for alternate pumps may play an issue ie pressure, GPH, self priming, etc.
Does anyone know where I could purchase them? Any info, help, suggestions , or insights to the problem Would be great !

When I got to go inside the Holly warehouse there were STS kits in there so I assume the are now a Holly company.
I don’t know anything beyond that like who builds the kits for Holly or if it’s in house. Probably outsourced to Chicom.
As far as the problem check the oil return lines and see if it’s obstructed in any way. If so new turbos wouldn’t make a difference with the same return line. Chances are it has some buildup that’s why you’re leaking.

Thanks for the info. I will diffidently check the oil lines first.
I talked to a Holley Tech. He said they don't sell them anymore. Not profitable, he said. The website shows the STS kit, But it says "No Longer Available". He gave me an alternative oil pump but the specs were not even close to the STS pump specs and they were very expensive. I could not find another vendor for STS. If anyone knows of one please let me know.
I found this old thread while I was researching, it seams as though STS is out of business: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-auction.html
Any other info or ideas from anyone would be great.
I will definitely check the oil lines first.
Thanks all
The STS kit was a cool ideal, but plenty of issues notably with the oiling. A ball bearing turbo needs way less oil than a journal bearing turbo.
if your friend replaced the turbos then make sure he is setup for the type of turbo he already had.
Some people will upgrade to a BB version but not restrict the flow from the original JB turbo which was what came in most STS kits. As far as the oil pump have you tested the one on the car ? You may looking at and pricing a part you don’t need. My gut feeling is your return line has carbon buildup and you have back pressure that blowing through into the exhaust. May have screwed up the seals on the new turbos unfortunately.

I agree. After looking into the kit, I was surprised it only had a journal bearing. And yes i am not impressed with the oiling system. I'm thinking a separate self-contained oiling system might be better, separate oil tank and pumps. Thanks for the info. I haven't checked anything yet, need to get to my house first, then I will look closely. I will let you know what I find.

Good luck on getting it resolved.
I think the system would work better with BB turbos since they need less oil and use the oil restrictors.
A couple years ago I was just trying to buy as a service part, the twin scavenging oil pump mounting bracket that attaches to the rear subframe, from the later version of C5 STS remote mount twin kit. I talked to the Holley tech guys who even put me in touch with the STS product manager and purchasing folks, but none of them could help me. I even asked for a drawing or print so that I could use to have the bracket fabricated locally - no go. Frustrating as hell. I even asked a couple of owners here on the forum that have the kits on their cars if they could take a couple rudimentary measurements of the mounting bracket for me, but never heard back from any of them. Bracket in question is shown below.

Yes, seams like info is not to readily available. And looks like STS is gone for good from what I've heard and read. That bracket shouldn't be to hard to make.
First time my scavenger pump failed it was the low speed resistor had burned open, second time the master fuse for pump had rotted away. You can search for "automotive scavenger pump", My early STS system had only one scavenger pump. Have successfully run 12v bronze gear pump from Summit Racing for a few years before reinstalling original pump, somewhat noisy but functional, they come with bracket. Pay close attention to oil line fittings. Pumps should run with fuel pump cycle at engine start, if they don't run you have a wiring problem. I can send installation instructions for two pump system.
