Would my 99 vert automatic with 3.15 have....I have blackwing, corsa pace catback..and i am getting the FLP headers and x-pipe on friday...
Also, what should i run in the 1/4 mile???
I ran a 13.4 stock....Finally if i put those off road pipes on how much gain am i going to get...Thanx
The general consensus is that you will get approximately 30-35 rear wheel HP from a Black wing and a set of FLPs. The Corsas are just ear candy, but I would not give mine up.

My experiences:
Blackwing-------6 rwhp
headers---------17 "
corsa touring---7 " Total -------30 rwhp
Thax guys....What should i do next torque converter or cams and UD pulley..and please say why?????
With the Blackwing and headers you should have 315-325 RWHP. Depending on traction you should run high to mid 12s. Do the T/C and 3.42 gears next. Because to get the best performance out of a high performance cam you will need a good T/C and gears (at least 3.42s and at least 3000 stall). With 3.42s and a good T/C you should be able to run low 12s, with good traction of course.

As with most things in life, one should have a goal, then a plan of attack. What are your goals, e.g., 'x' rwhp, 'x' e.t., bragging rights, etc.? To go along with the goal/s, what is your budget -another important factor.

If you have 3.15 rear = get a pt 2600 or a yank 3000.
If you are going to 3.42 rear = yank 3500 or vig 3000.
I am currently running a Yank 3000 and 3.42, a awesome street setup I have not been to the track yet but with the ls1edit it pulls awesome. My best without the 3.42 is a 12.53 at 111 on street tires. I am guessing low 12 on street tires and maybe a high 11 on dr.
Well i do not care alot about HP..what i want to get mid to low 11's in the 1/4 mile....With out using nitrous....Money wise i do not have a lot to spend at once.. Every 3-4 months i can spend 2500-3000$.....

My friend, to get into the low 11's, Hp is important . My experience shows you'll need ~475 - 500 rwhp to get lo 11's. Rhino 21149 has a Z06 w/ Magnacharger, headers, etc. and he posts an 11.2 @127 mph on stock tires. He's probably got at least $10K in his " 2002 Z06" - which has a base rwhp advantage of at least 50 over your LS-1, on top of a significant weight savings which is probably worth another 20 rwhp. All total, to reach your goal, you'll need an additional 175 rwhp at $90/rwhp which would cost ~$16K, IMHO.
Good luck.

In my world that's a lot of money. That's $10,000 to $12,000 a year. Wish I had your problem. Do the converter and gears. Then save up 5-7 months and do big heads and cam package(underdrive pulley and all the possible bolt on's). If you still want more power, be ready to save for a year because S/C's don't come cheap. Good luck

I have to disagree you don't need to have 475-500 RWHP to run the 11s. More like 375-400 RWHP. There have even been a few forum members who have dipped into the 11s with engines with stock internals and just bolt on's. Forum member Mikie C has run 11.88 and his motor still has stock internals. If you have an A4 a really good T/C and the right gearing and tires these mods will do wonders for your cars performance. The samething can be said for an M6 with the right gearing and tires.

I was thinking he wanted to get into the LOW 11's; perhaps a little less HP with hi stall and drag radials, but not much.
The most srteetable version to get into the 11s is going to be very expensive. When you see a vette run 11s on stock tires this is most impressive because that's what you get at the redlight. If you look at most of the pictures of vettes in the 10s and 9s, they will usually use drag radials and other 1/4 mile focused parts to get there. These cars will never run like they do at the strip on the road and visa versa. Think about where you want the performance to be first and go for it. It's going to cost a pretty penny either way.

Short of a S/C, Turbo or Nitrous you are not going to see 475-500 RWHP with an A4 with stock displacement. In fact I have seen VERY few M6s even approach 460 RWHP let alone 500 RWHP without power adders. There have been a few forum members with less than 400 RWHP that have run mid 11s. Robsvette comes to mind he ran 11.56 @ 117 MPH not too long ago. I believe his car only dynoed 375 RWHP. I would not get too hung up on dyno numbers a lot of really great running cars do not have outstanding numbers on the dyno.
Well i do not car much for the dragstrip...i wana be able to do 11's on the street....i was thinking if i can pull 11.7-11.9 on street tires ..i can do atleast 11.4 on drag.....I wana do a head and cam pakage but i do not have the money for it yet....i am going to put the flp headers, x-pipe and off road pipes on friday...and 2 weeks from then i am getting my TC hopefully..and with in a month or two H/C....i though that would be enough to get me where i wana go to the 11's, but if i can not then nitrous would be my next upgrad...

With the mods you just mentioned, you will meet your goal of 11.70's, but not on street tires! Look up "MTI 427 Roadster", with a Cartek heads/cam 3.42's, and a TC he was running 11.60's with ET Streets in a vert. I believe he was around 385 rwhp. My car runs 10.90's with just over 500 rwhp, but that cost's money :yesnod:
