Diff. leak?

Diff. leak?
Just had my 4-tip Stingers installed yesterday. While under the car, noticed red fluid on bottom of diff. Is this common for a 99 6spd w/ 30000 mi? It's not dripping -- yet. Any advice? BTW, the Stingers sound great! :cool:

This is a common prob, usually on the driver's side. It's an easy fix. If your car is under warranty, it's free. I think it's about $200 or so if it's not.

If the fluid is RED, then it is ATF from your 6 sp transmission and NOT the rear axle lubricant(which is honey colored). I had this problem a couple of years ago and it was fixed under warranty. There is a seal between the rear and the trans, and this is the one that is most likely leaking. :cool:
