1997 c5, 0411 swap, ecu purchased off of ebay. (2002 c5 z06 i believe)
Purchased the car a few years ago and have never had the time to dig further into the reason it does not run. it will crank, there is no security light, has fuel pressure, it seems as if injectors arent being given the ground through the PCM.
hate to admit it but i have put a small shot of starting fluid and it fires.
Prior to repinning electrical connections, when i bought the car i was told that the intake just needed to be put on and when the previous owner pulled the intake they lost the keys during the job, bought a new ignition and that it where we are at.
A friend of a friend said that they disabled vats possibly im not exactly sure what they did to the ECM.
looking for recommendations on what would cause a PCM no comm after a 0411 swap. ive cleaned ignition switch contacts. attempted to verify correct ohms at pins in ignition switch, wondering if i should just call a locksmith to come give me a key with the correct resistance pellet.
I am trying to check everything or reach out for help before sending it to a shop as every shop is going to be confused as to why i did the 0411 swap when it reality it was because i misplaced my stock ECM, but he car would crank and not fire the injectors with the old one also. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, ive studied post after post on this website and have tried everything with no success. cleaning ground points,
what i dont get it is why i dont have a security light on when trying to start it
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. thank you all

@C5 Diag I’ll double check all that, I wasn’t checking grounds with ohms, just pin continuity when changing the orientation of the key position. On, acc, start. It’s a little confusing. But I’m not convinced the it’s ignition switch I took it off and cleaned all the contacts.
Well cant believe it but I found it, the dang class 2 pin was on the wrong side of wire 57 SMH, thank you so much @C5 Diag and @lucky131969 I really appreciate the help. i feel like i havent made any progress with this car up until this point.
It was on pin 56 not 58. where it should have been hoping I dont have any more like this.
so now all i have is the theft deterrant code 1631 and 1626 should i just call a locksmith or should i try to relearn the theft learn procedure in order for the system to learn the new password. after research on the site i see the PCM and BCM passwords dont match.

Progress !
So let's review. The PO lost the keys, and you purchased a new ignition with new keys? Which key code did you get?
The only way you could have purchased the correct key was to go to a dealership and give them the cars VIN. A previous owner may also have changed the Ignition switch and used a different key other then the cars orginal key. You will have to perform a BCM relearn procedure.
@lucky131969 PO lost keys and I believe purchased new keys and switch. So I’m not sure what code he got.
@mmartinez i was going to do that years ago but I never got the change to get to the dealership with the title in my name to find out what resistance I’m needing. I’m trying to do the relearn process at the moment but I tried and had no luck. Actually oops I hope my connector is plugged in for the resistance of the key eek. I’ll go back down verify. But I did the 11 minute on 30 secs off, three times, ordeal and didn’t have any luck.
If you did the relearn procedure with the connector unplugged it won't work. Also put a charger on the battery during the relearn, if battery voltage drops to low the relearn will fail. Hope this helps.
