Default Need radiator help!

I have a 2001 a4. I just put in a new ECP radiator, and a new coolant temp sensor, and the car is overheating. I followed the FSM bleed procedure, and no luck. I opened the reservoir, removed the top hose, and blew into it until fluid came out of the hose. Still no luck.

I checked the temps of all the hoses with a laser temp tool, and they're all the same temp, except for the hose coming off the thermostat. I replaced the thermostat, and it still doesn't seem like it's opening. That hose feels cool to the touch. Could there be anything preventing the thermostat from opening up?

Is there anything else I may have overlooked?

First things first..........why did you replace the radiator?
Are your fans running normally?
What thermostat did you install? Did you replace the housing as well?

Embarrassing story about somebody "me: when I replaced the thermostat on my wife's SUV. Seems I installed it backwards so the thermostat never opened, I don't know if it's even possible to install it incorrectly on our cars. Just a thought.

Given he has the two piece style, I bet it is possible.

Try the old thermostat, or test the one you just installed. Just need a pot of water and a thermometer.
