Default Option Codes DD0 & DD8

DD0: Mirror, Outside, LH & RH, Remote Control, Electric, Heated, Light Sensitive.
DD8: Mirror, Inside, R/V Light Sensitive

I have two C5's one is a 2001 Coupe and one is 2002 Convertible. Both have these option codes.

How can you tell if the outside mirrors are working as they should? I can't tell if the heaters are working on either car. It appears the passenger side mirror doesn't dim like the driver side on the 2002.
What circuit are they associated with?

Your owner's manual has instructions that will answer some of your questions.
Per this page from a 2001 manual, start the car and press the button to turn on the rear window defogger. Check temperature on the mirrors after a minute or two. If they have warmed significantly they are working.

Amazing. I have owned the car for 24 years and just found out that it had heated mirrors. Then again I don't drive in the snow and ice too often.
