When are the nitto 18" drag radials going to be available. On a full tank of gas I cant hook up until after 50 at wot. I also get squirly at a 70 punch in second gear.
Me too! Anyone? What is the best solution for drag racing street traction? For 9 1/2" wheels and 10 1/2" rear wheeels. I know about CCW 11 1/2" with the huge Pilot Sports, but there has to be a close second with "factory" size wheels.
The 335s help alot when not in the boost, but can still break them loose virtually at will in the first 3 gears and some in 4th. There probably no answer on a 10.5" wheel unless you have an et street.
Hogurt, I'm running 315-35-17 BFG drag radials on Y2K 17X9.5 wheels. I also have a set on ZR1 wheels, and I hook the same on both so I don't think the wheel width hurts me at all. I used Nitto 275-40-17 D/Rs as my street tires for almost 7 months, they are as slippery as runflats until you drive on them a little and get some heat in them. With the TC install and headers planned for the next couple of weeks, I can kiss traction goodbye anyway
1. Z06 replica wheels with the C5 standard sizes 17x8.5 & 18x9.5 (Kuhmo Max performace tires).
2. Z06 replica wheels with the Z06 sizes 17x9.5 & 18x10.5 (BFG F1 tires)
When someone comes out with drag radials, I will them. . .until then, I will have no traction. . .should still be able to run in the low 12's. Any suggestions?

By the way Nitto Drag radials are available in the 305/45 - 18's.
Is that what you are looking for? They are on Discount Tire.com website.
Add a good H/C package with that s/c, headers and check your traction if you think it can't get worse. Mine will step out at 80mph if floored and I have an A4! You really have to relearn how to use the throttle with these setups.
