Hello guys i had a question about the A&A supercharger. I wanna know if it’s safe to run the supercharger with the A4 transmission it was rebuilt by a shop and they told it was a bit stronger than stock. Although i dont know exactly how true that was! I wanna know if any of you guys have the stock 4l60e and run the A&A supercharger I’m planning to make around 600 hp. If not do you guys know any good built transmissions to buy I was looking at the B&M one but i wanna make sure before i drop $3000 on it.
How will you be driving your car? If your just going to do some spirited driving it should be fine, if you plan to drag race or road course the transmission might fail at some point.

Ask your transmission shop what exactly "a bit stronger" means. Does it mean they will guarantee the transmission for x miles at y power level? Or is it just shop talk with nothing to back it up?
Are you planning on upgrading any other components to handle the extra power?
Your usage will be a big factor in how soon stuff starts breaking.
Agree with Dads2kconvertible. I'd also add tire compound. As most here know, I've been very fortunate with my 150,000 mile 4L60E. But probably one reason is I've never run DRs on the rear. Stickiest tires I've run are 200 treadwear 315-30-18 Michelin PS2s. If you start running MT DRs, Hoosiers, etc, it will shorten your trans life guaranteed. If the shop that built it tells you it's "good for 600chp," ask them for how many miles and have them put it in writing on your receipt. My experience with warranties hasn't been worth the paper they're written on. So if the shop won't put it in writing, you're probably not out much. My opinion.

Well, I have a SC with an auto trans. I do have a 3200 stall as well. I have a low mileage C5, but do like to "test" the SC so there is spirited driving. I think how you drive it and how the tranny is tuned matters a lot. Mine lasted all of 300 miles after the SC, but I believe this is due to a previous tuner who upped my tranny pressure too much as my own fault as I would hammer is in 4th (overdrive) and that gear does not take kindly to spinning then stopping then spinning then stopping yada yada yada....
Do the supercharger and leave the trans alone. Maybe you have a good one like @grinder11 . If it blows up, call RPM. Transmissions are funny like that. They can go anytime anywhere.

I have had 2 different 600chp 427 engines in my car. Whatever my tuner did to the trans, it has worked. I have made at least 50 runs on the dragstrip. The trans has outlasted both engines. When I hit 2nd gear at around 7,000rpm, the rear tires break loose, and spin for several feet. It owes me zilch......

Yeah, with a proper tune things will last much longer.....I hope to have a better result with the current built tranny and tune..
