1998 A/C Compressor
Excuse my limited knowledge, but does the 98 have only 1 A/C compressor? Why does the driver side vents seem to deliver warmer air than the passenger side? What is not working properly?

Yes there is only one compressor. The problem you described has been discussed for the last 20 years on this forum. Do a search and read for hours. Solutions very, but even a low refrigerant charge will cause this issue.
