Default Steering Column Lock

Hey all,
My Vette sat for a few weeks with the Bluetooth plugged in which drained the battery. I charged the battery and now when I start it and shut it off I get the "Service Column Lock" message. I have verified with the previous owner that the recall was completed and a few years ago he bought the kit, whatever that meant. Other than annoying it does not affect the column. I can drive and have been driving it with no issues. Any ideas how to clear that message? I have spent a couple of hours reading about the column lock issue but nothing about getting the message without actually having the problem and how to clear it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When a battery goes dead like that even if you can charge it to 12.66 volts does not mean it’s good…I’d get it load tested at a parts store…if you don’t have a factory level or equivalent aftermarket scan tool check for any codes with B25XX through the DIC…if no DTC’s stored try disconnecting the battery for a minute or so and reconnect.

Guy said he bought the kit, assume he meant LMC5 mod or equivalent. Look in fuse box behind passenger kick panel and see if it's there.
