Hello guys I have the famous c1243 code for my 2000 corvette. I’ve been doing the old fashion way by jacking up the rears and forcing the abs! I wanna get the tech2 to exercise it but kinda also wanna get a new obd2 for other cars so my question is I see that some of the newer obd2 can bleed the abs. Can i just get that instead or am I stuck on just buying the tech2?
Any aftermarket scan tool like this scanner by Autel which is fully bidirectional can exercise the ABS pump and is capable with working on domestic and foreign cars….you’re not stuck with just with GM or Saab.
Any tool? I see that that has bidirectional capabilities, but it doesn't really expand much beyond that. I recently used a scan tool with bidirectional capabilities that wouldn't do a crank relearn but would do a bunch of other stuff that wasn't really helpful in my situation.

OP wants to be able to turn the ABS pump on and off and that is an output control…”special functions” however such as crank relearn etc vary from scan tool to scan tool.
I have a 2000 C5, coupe, MN6. In the fall, I bought a Autel Scanner MaxiCOM MK808Z (tablet) primarily to perform ABS bleed/actuation on this car, to excersize the pump from time to time. Currently, I do this by spraying some dish soap or tire shine on my shop floor, and spinning the tires several times.
So I clear ALL the codes that may be present, in each module. I've done so via ODB-scanner function, as well as the DIC display & buttons. BUT when I select the auto-bleed option in within the menus of the Autel... ...I recieve an error on the Autel: "There are codes present. Fix before proceeding."
I've done this quite a few times with the same result. @Toys4Life C5 do you have any advice? Anyone else?
Is there a tool that will do this and not care about any codes present? Is there a proceedure or method that will make this work?
I'm frustrated and stumped. $378 was a pretty penny to spend for something that's competely useless for what I bought it for.

I don't think the Autel will do it if there is any current code. If you clear it and it resets immediately, what code(s) are present?
Does the parking brake have to be on? Try pulling the lever up one click.

Reason: speeling error

Thank you. I will try with the E-brake engaged. I never use it when parked in the garage as sometimes I'll push back and forth to get to something, all while the cover is on.
