I was having the heads replaced on my C5 Corvette and figured that I would have the knock sensors changed as well after replacing the knock sensors I kept getting a code for the rear sensor I just kept clearing it because I didn't have the money to pay to have the sensor replaced again.
Then I came across this posted video on YouTube https://youtu.be/-PTpfWjD9v8?si=d2laPY90ggJNgB7z according to this gentleman you slowly increase the RPMs to 5,000 RPMs and hold it there for a few seconds and then slowly bring it down then redo that same procedure once again and supposedly its supposed to make the ECU relearn what's normal for the knock sensor well I did it and so far the codes have not returned I know this is a long post but really my question is has anyone ever heard of this procedure before thank you Gary
Makes 3 of us. Also, the knock sensors in a C5 are pretty easy to access and change. I'm curious as to why you changed the sensors? I guess I'm asking if it wasn't broke, why fix it?
