2002 Group 78 Battery.

Is there any issues to running a group 78 battery instead of the 75?

Nope my car has a 78 in it right now as I could not get a 75 AGM due to limited stock a couple years ago so I picked up a 78 AGM. I had a 78 in there that I had gotten for free when my 75 had failed. But it fits just fine. I only had to wiggle the battery cables loose some to reach the one side. But nothing is being tugged on.

I put a 34/78 Optima in my 03 last week. No problem

A lot of the online parts sites (O'reilly for example) will say that the 34/78 won't fit a C5. They are wrong, it fits fine, just make sure to get side terminals (like the Optima)

Just a little bigger, but the tray is big enough and hold-down clamp will work fine. I replaced by group 75 about three years ago with a group 78 AGM.
