So I replaced the EV solenoid I think that’s what it’s called and the gas cap which I bought off the Internet so I’m not positive. It was genuine or not. It said it was OEM but not sure but anyway I’m starting to think there may be a blockage in the actual gas tube because when I fill, I pull the fuel pump rubber back so that it will just free flow and not shut off and fuel quickly builds up to the top of the filler tube. I don’t have a camera so I guess I’m gonna have to look to see if it’s a possible blockage if it was anything else wouldn’t the tank fell by the way that I explained I’m trying to fill it or let’s say I just used a 5 gallon gas can would it still Back back up or is that back up? Usually just because the EAP system isn’t working and it shuts the pump off Hope this all makes sense. I’m at wits end as you know the C5‘s can be like chasing ghosts. I don’t even think I can get a 10th of a gallon in before it fills that tube up so I would think that right before the inside flap something maybe got stuff down there when it was being worked on for some crazy reason I don’t know
I have a feeling it must be collapsed. Thanks for the info. It backs up really bad. I don’t suppose that’s covered at the dealership ha ha. It should be because it’s a flammable liquid spilling on the ground!!! It takes probably 30 pulls on the gas nozzle with the rubber caper seal pulled back to just put a gallon of fuel in!!!
Well, that’s a bummer but anyway I can’t find that part anywhere I plugged it in and it says discontinued. I guess I’m gonna have to go salvage. I haven’t called the dealership but I’m assuming they’re gonna tell me they don’t make it anymore and it seems like it’s redesigned in 2004 last year of the C5 they figured out how to fix it, ha ha.

Contact a good dealer and they can do a search of dealer inventory. Sometimes you can get lucky. If not then salvage yards should have it. It is not a high wear part.
I did this TSB on my 2004 shortly after I rebuilt it. The original factory fill hose is a little to long and is slightly kinked, the new hose is shorter and has a different curve so the fuel flow is smoother.
See C5 General sticky section. First one has a list of dismantlers. But, discontinued does mean there is no old stock somewhere. A Chevy dealer can scan the nationwide network. Also check on Amazon, EBay, and hose mfg’s, like Gates, for a reproduction of that part number.

Could reducing the length of the original work in a pinch or is the change in curvature the main issue in your opinion? I ask because my 2K does this a bit but not so severe as the OP describes his issue.
So this is the filler hose I received. The numbers do not match the part number from the service bulletin. Does this look like I got the wrong part? Is 1 1/16 the right size as well?

what did you order, and who did you order from? The hose type looks right, but I assume it's not molded. The TSB part is also 1" v/s 1-1/16. Depending on the wall thickness and tolerance of the hose, it may or may not make a difference. You definitely do not want to over-tighten the clamp making up for a poor fit. All you can do is give it a try.
I ordered it from Dino’s salvage. I emailed them last night. Let’s see what they say. I paid $150 because I couldn’t find it anywhere else then found this https://vettenuts.net/1997-04-c5-cor...w-857637246302 but it’s not 1” diameter either
They just told me that all those hoses have the number on there that I posted and that it came out of a 2004 C5 Corvette. Does that automatically mean that it was the hose for the service bulletin?

That is a general fuel hose type number. You will see that same number on many vehicle from that time. If it came out of a 2004, and yours is collapsed, I would give it a whirl.
