Default Help Needed; outside rearvier mirror wiring

I have a used outside rearview mirror I purchased from an unknown year and want to see if it works without taking my '04 apart. I just want to apply power to the proper pins and that is where I have a problem; the wire colors do not match-up to my '04 manual nor to a '01 manual I found on-line. (The '04 and '01 did match-up)
The C2 mirror connector, left or driver's side has the following four wire colors: red/blk, dr grn/blk, dr blu/blk, and purple/blk. These wires are out of the connector, I do not know what wire is what.
I know one is supposed to be 5V reference, one ground, one vert position, one horiz position.

Also need the signal names for the C1 connector as well.

Can someone help me out.

UPDATE: to save anyone from reading all the way to the end; the service manuals are incorrect for the C1 and C2 connectors wire colors. After looking at several used mirrors on ebay, they all had the same wire colors for C2 as I noted above, which are not the ones listed in the service manuals. These were incorrect apparently for the entire C5 years. Looks like the C1 connector wire colors are incorrect as well.

Thanks

Thanks for the info.
I left out in my original posting that I need information for the outside driver's side rearview mirror.
I have gone back and added that little detail in.

The information you posted is not going to waste though.....as I am thinking about replacing the inside rearview mirror with an aftermarket one with cameras.

Thanks again.

Thanks again: Yes, the '04 and '01 have the same wire colors and connector pins, just not the wire colors I have listed in my first post.
Do you have access to earlier years?....like a '98 wiring diagram? I do not know when (or why) Chevrolet changed the wire colors over the years.

?????
I am way confused now. The '98 has the same wire colors as the '01 and '04. Was the '97 unique or something?

UPDATE:
I went searching on ebay to look at used mirrors; found a left side mirror, says it was a '04, but anyways, it has the same exact wire colors for the C2 connector as the one I have.

Appears that the factory service manuals are incorrect for the C2 and looks like the C1 connector as well and stayed that way through the C5 years.

I was able to determine from the ebay pictures what wire color went to which C2 connector position.

Sure want to thank you for the wiring diagrams though.
