Re: Any interest in TPIS header group purchase? (sbkim)
I just bought a pair from LAPD. Don't get the price too low!!!!!! :D
I like them so far, picked up 16 HP and 17 ft-lbs TQ. Sounds a little louder and now have no problem, with the cool air we are having, in hazing the tires up to 70 on RF's!
Hope you get a GP going! I saved a bunch on my converter buying it that way.
Re: Any interest in TPIS header group purchase? (JoeyG)
The thing I noticed SOTP was the low end grunt. I had RF's on, but it still was pretty impressive. We are going to have to take a little timing out above 5600 rpm's because it is set too aggressive now with this new found HP, but we hope to have it set up this week for some runs down the 1 /4 mile soon. I would like to get a 11.8 in this air before it starts to get too warm. Then my times will be back down to earth! :yesnod:
Re: Any interest in TPIS header group purchase? (sbkim)
Possibly. I was lookign at FLP's for the ease of installation and because it is a complete system, but the price of TPIS is more attractive$$$$ :yesnod:
Re: Any interest in TPIS header group purchase? (2001 Red Coupe Bandit)
Its a great header and I will speak with Nate and see what he thinks.TPIS are great headers and 17-20 HP is normal the more modded the motor Heads/cam/Valve/stroking or Super Charging the higher the output.
I have seen quotes on bolt ons and we always quote low.We would much rather you got 24 after being quoted 17-20 which is what we quote on TPIS and so far no honesty complaints just lost revenue due to honesty.
I always look at the box and see up to 45 hp gain for a bolt on part and if the person selling it isnt a wrencher but a parts middle man the guys gonna read the box and it will say up to 45 hp gain.If you have magic parts I will take some but going with a solid little header like TPIS you cant go wrong,I saw you mentioned FLP's they are by far my favorite and you save 200 or so on the install something you want to cosider. If you wrench yourself you will save time and my best guess is 20% or more gain over the TPIS with X-pipe and hi flow cats, than you just need to choose a system and Stingers in my book dollar for dollar have my vote.
If we can be of help look for Xtreme M.Sports under suppoerting vendors and tour our soon to be updated web site or just give us a call Nate,Mike or any other tech(all our sales people are non commisioned so prices are cut drastic and not to forget its great to speak with some one to talk you through your install and diagnose problems on the phone)
So if we can help we would be honored to hear from you.Good Luck,Dave S.
