lmc5 install
been reading tons on this lmc5 module and decided to buy and install it on weekend. the factory recall had been done years ago from original owner and had no issues with steering lock. . was simple enough to install and all went as per instructions. now have to wait til spring to test drive this car i just bought in early november and got only 1 ride from original owner i bought it from as winter started the next day with snowfall. come on spring.. next job up is bleeding the brake system as fluid is pretty dark. just bought the brake bleeder and ready for the task. cheers

Another project with many a thread on the trials and tribulations some have found. Which bleeder if I may be so rude as to ask? Vacuum or pressure?

i bought a orion pressure brake bleeder from amazon. got bore late yesterday and did the job. took 2 hrs to do and was much easier than i thouht. the brake bleeder worked as intended and the cost was 100 cnadian funds. most likely 65$ U.S. funds. was worth every penny

I just installed the LMC5 in my 04 this week. I fired up the car and got the pull key and wait 10 seconds message. I did the optional brown wire mod and did not see the message after that. I had no issues with the lock beforehand and the recall was performed many years ago as well.
