Drivers side window regulator issue
I have a 2004 C5 Coupe Base. I was going to replace the drivers side window regulator and I did take the old one out and put in a new from Oreilly's. It's a very straight forward job but I ran into a particular issue with the regulator pully, " you know it's the green roller that the cable runs around" its the one that is at the top, closest to the engine bay or closest to the hinged front of the driver's door. That pully is so close to the window when it goes down that the window rubs against it as it goes down and then of course it rubs against it as it starts back up. I thought it was maybe a bad part in some way because it was an after-market regulator so I took it off and put the OEM regulator back on and it was almost the same except the OEM regulator seemed to not be quit as close to the window but it still very slightly rubbed. Has anyone else seen this ? Is there a way to correct this such as adjustments or anything ? Any help will be much appreciated.
