Sizzle sounds without using AC
I have the sizzle sounds in the engine area after driving like many c5 owners, but I have not been using the AC the last few times while driving.
Is it possible that the AC could be dripping onto my long tube headers even when the AC is not in use? Anything else that could explain this?

That makes a lot of sense because the noise seems to be a bit louder on the passenger side of the car. I'll go out tomorrow and have a look. Would the coolant reservoir drip naturally or would that indicate a leak? Coolant level and temps seem OK so not a major leak if so.

I took the car out for a 1 hr drive today after verifying coolant level was good. I did not use AC. Popped the hood when I got home to see if I could see anything from above but unfortunately I couldn't. I checked everywhere with a flashlight. It's more of a loud drip noise than a sizzle. The sizzle noise seems to be more prominent when I run the AC.
I won't have the ability to lift the car for a few more days to check from underneath but I'll report back once I do.
