Default Clutch Replacement

My car is currently at the dealership, hopefully repairing my clutch under my extended warranty. From everything that I have read the 01 Z06 clutch just will not support any added H.P. So looking down the line when it comes time to replace the clutch what is out there? With my current mods the car is around 385 rwhp. I am considering heads in the near future. Suggestions?

Well if your only doing heads in the future than the 02 Z06 clutch, which is what the dealer will most likely put in if covered, is your best choice.

Will the 2002 ZO6 clutch work for an early model (97) C5 as well? If so what's needed, just the clutch, diaphram and bearing? ... or is the fork, rod, slave, etc. also different? thx c-forum sj

Z06 clutch is fine as unless you plan on running a big drag radial or MT slicks.

Talked to Bob at Classic several times. One heck of a guy. When I get my car outta "Frank Parra Purgatory " Classic will be my service department of choice. You would think a dealership that claims to be one of the largest corvette dealers would have service writers who are "pro corvette"

I swear, its not just the cam baby. (Lame attempt at Austin P.)

Really the clutch was already acting up. The pedal lays on the floor after third gear. I finally convinced the dealer of this after a nice little demonstration ride :reddevil
IF its wear I buy... If its the booster, slave they do..

If you are going to exceed 385 at the rear, migt want to look at the Cartek clutch - I started having problems with my '02 clutch after exceeding that power level.
