Default Best Online Tire Shops

When I bought my C5 it came with ZR1 Reps from the C6. The rear tires I have already taken care of. However, the front rim width is 265 which is kind of an oddball and I seem to be striking out finding some decent tires in that width. I don't have the car with me today to confirm 100% but I'm fairly certain the size is 265/40/ZR17 could be 265/45/ZR17. I am struggling to find either of these sizes. Anyone have recommendation on where I may have some luck?

*Edit* The wheels are in my profile image for reference

You didn't specify exactly what your car is, Z06 or just an FRC.
265/40ZR17 is the oem front tire size for a Z06 and uses a 9.5" front wheel width.
Most of the ZR1 reps to fit the C5/C6 have 8.5" front wheel width.
If that is the case, probably go with a 255/40ZR17 on the 8.5 wide rep wheel.
But, whichever way you go, you will want to match whatever brand/type tire is on the rear if possible.

It is a 99 FRC. I know for sure the front tire is a 265 its the 40 or 45 that I'm not sure on. But looking for both of those sizes I am not having any luck.

Has to be a 40 aspect ratio, 45 would make it way too tall for your car.
And, yes, 265/40/17's have only a couple of tire options, that is why most go to a size bigger or smaller.

Look on tirerack.com and you will see the few options for that 265/40/17 size.

If a 45 would be too tall, and no luck on the 40, would you recommend me dropping to a 35?

Nope, that would be too short.
Just need to go to one size wider 275/40/17 or one size narrower 255/40/17.
But, if you have the repop ZR1 wheels, they are probably only 8.5 wide, so going one size wider to a 275/40/17 is pushing the fitment, one size narrower, 255/40/17 would fit the 8.5 wheel just fine, would only be slightly shorter than the 265/40/17.
Up to you which way you want to go.

It would help to know what size and brand rear tires are on the car, now?

Just because your car has 265/40/17 fronts on it now, does not mean that's the only size allowed.

Both fronts and rears are all Toyo Proxes r888R currently. I believe they discontinued the size on the front currently 265/40/R17. I don't mind going a size up or down, just making sure it was be an issue if sizes up or down.

Is your rear tire size a secret? Depending on the rear size, it could matter what front size might be incompatible.

I ran into that issue on my Z06. I went smaller on the front because I wanted my tires to match the rears.

Got it, sorted gentlemen.

Going with 255 instead of 265 and that opened up a whole bunch of options at much more reasonable prices.

Thanks for the help and input.

Lastly, rear size is 295/35/ZR18 11.5" wide

Yes, your car had the factory Z06 tire sizes on it then, 265/40/17 and 295/35/18.
This has been a problem for Z06 owners for years.
