We have a 1999 C5, the Instrument Cluster works fine EXCEPT THE various options buttons on the right side selection switch of the cluster does not work. However, the left side does work with no problems for the heads up display. After removing the entire Cluster, we took apart the selection switch and opened accordingly, I expected to be a circuit board inside that piece, however, there was nothing but touch pads, so we cleaned under the pads to see if that would help. After re-assembling, started up the car and it didn't help at all. So, I tried to find a little help from youtube. There's nothing on the subject except I saw a light bulb change video which showed the photo of the circuit in the back of the cluster (see attached). This video is from the good folks at Batee (who did a great job fixing our c4 Instrument cluster). If anyone has a part number, please let me know, I'd appreciate it of if someone is selling one, that's much better. Its for my young son's car, we're preparing everything now so its ready to go when he's old enough to drive.
Here is the part.

I believe there was a change during the C5 era and later models use a different part. Not sure when that change was made. You'll want to keep that in mind when sourcing a replacement.

Thanks so much, I really hope I can find that somewhere.
I entered that part number and what comes is the switch, I'm actually looking for the circuit board in the back of the cluster? Any answers would be appreciated, but I did take note of that part number incase I can get another one of those as well as a board from the same unit.

You're unlikely to find a part number for just the circuit board because it was never available for purchase from GM. afaik it was part of the switch assemby, not sold separately.
Ebay or salvage yards might have just the board but as you pointed out searching for it by part number is unlikely to work.
Good luck
I have a ‘99 with similar issues. Most posts of this type of issue that have a resolution were solved with a replacement IPC — but some of them have been grounding and/or communication issues. Grounding via the ground located at the bottom front of the driver’s door opening. Communication via multi pin connectors in the door bellows.

When you use your control switch on the C5, does it make a sound when you press the buttons. I notice that mine makes a sound on my C6, not the C5. However, on my C6, the digital reader doesn't work, so we can't get a reading on anything.

Mine do not make a click. When I press them the left side kind of pivots inward. If you mash on it quickly you can hear a tiny thud as it reaches the end of stroke. Could definitely not hear it if the car were running.
