Default Christmas Time in March

So it was 55 degrees here on Long Island on Saturday. Figured I would uncover the C5 and take her for a drive. Been garaged and covered since about November w/a battery tender.

So it started simply enough. Then the dash lit-up like a Christmas tree. Pretty much all the warning lights along w/a few messages;

Pull the Key - 10 seconds
Reduced Power
Shocks not working
Blah blah blah

Along w/that the gauge cluster went dead and everything went to zero (empty fuel, no oil pressure, etc.).

Then I hit the power seat button to move the seat and the seat moved all the way back and the green lights on the seat memory buttons began blinking. With that, the seat never moved again. Seems stuck all the way back.

A few taps on the steering column seemingly released the steering lock so the Pull Key... warning went away. But all the other problems remain.

The last time I got a suspension error I was lucky that is was only the relay needing to be replaced. Guess I'll have to have that system checked-out again.

As for the seats; I'll check the fuses. But assuming I need to remove the seat; is that doable w/the seat being fully backed-up?

Any other suggestions welcome.

Merry Christmas.

Given that this is after a long break and was working fine when stored I would start with the battery. Is it near 12.7 volts? Load tests good?

Have a look at the battery voltage first. What kind of/how old is the battery?

Thank you for the responses.

The battery is a red top that was installed just before storage. I had the Summitt Racing tender connected to it.

It will probably be a week or so before I get around to testing it. But I will update this thread when I do.

If it is the battery, could that affect the seat as I described?

Yes it could. The seat switches interface with electronic modules on the car, which in turn send the signals to the seat motor. If it were just that one thing that happened on a daily driven car then battery would not be my first guess.
Low voltage shows up as all kinds of weird issues. It's a good starting point, even if all you do is verify the voltage/battery/connections are all good. Test light can be very useful for showing a poor connection even when voltage is good.

The device did say it supports AGM batteries. It did a fine job of keeping the battery charged so I was able to easily start the car even though it’s been parked for a couple of months with some pretty cold nights.

I have a regular charger that has a maintenance mode connected to the car now. I’ll try again this weekend.

Thanks for asking.
