How well do they work as front brake cooling?

Failed to mention at first, I have the Electron Sport version mentioned some time ago. Thought these were those, but these do not look to be as contoured. My bad. The earlier ones look absolutely terrific -- but are definitely 3d printed components, so bear that in mind. Haven’t done any scientific evaluation, but it’s a direct air path, and they do look so much better than the fake block off plate. Had a 73 with functional vents too, and sadly never got the brakes hot enough on that one either.

Anything that gets the hot air out will help, that's just physics.
Although without empirical testing, you would probably never know it.

Aren't they more for relieving under hood air pressure and heat?

I don't see how these would help with brake temps. The may help with downforce by evacuating air from under the car.

If you want to add additional brake cooling

That said, on a street car, this will do nothing, it's really hard to overheat the brakes on street tires

I have these side vents on my 2000 FRC because they help to alleviate the High pressure that builds around the front wheels that attribute to the front end lift these cars experience at High speeds. If you don't drive your car at speeds over 125 mph regularly you will not see any kind of improvement in anything. They also cause a lot of dirt and debris to build up in the ducts. Everything coming off the front tires go out those vents as a result of the new opening. I ended up putting in screens to eliminate that issue.
