I have a 2002 Vette with about 58k miles... it's a 6 speed convertible.... the car runs great 98% of the time.... but when I get on it about half of the time it feels like I'm dragging a parachute behind the car and the check engine light comes on. Almost every time it gives me P0131 and P0151 codes 02 sensor circuit low voltage Bank 1 sensor 1 and 02 sensor circuit low voltage bank 2 sensor 1.... a friend of mine helped me do an upper engine clean and we replaced both 02 sensors... it ran great for about an hour then it started up again.... one time I got a P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire detected code but hasn't happened again since.... The car has a Corsa exhaust, a cold air intake and a K&N filter... I've cleaned the MAF sensor and the filter.... I'm confused as to what is going on.... I've had some people tell me they think it might be an intake manifold leak, and some have mentioned to cold air intake or exhaust.... I just don't want to dump a ton of money into just trying to find the problem if others have had the same problem and know what the fix was.... I have no problem paying for repairs I just hate that there are so many things it could be based on what people have told me.... thanks for any help in advance
If you have no mechanical or electrical experience and no scan tool find a diagnostic shop in your area and take it there…a general repair shop or dealership will only change parts !!…could be a bad O2 sensor depending on where you bought it and who made it…my ‘01 didn’t work with Bosch or Delphi but Denso’s worked fine…the new O2’s were stuck below 200mv’s which is your “low voltage” DTC’s and I also had a P0300 with random misfires on both banks…the Denso was bought from Autozone… could be a faulty MAF, or the O2 sensor wires shorted to ground or each other.
