Default Car doesn't feel planted while driving / tramlining

I have 275s up front and 305s in the rear (previously 295s) and the car just feels like it wants to wander on the highway, especially on grooved lanes. In addition, when cresting a small hill at a decent speed where the car would get a little light, it wants to drift left. I had an alignment done but it didn't really change anything. What else could tighten this up?

If there are specific toe/camber/caster settings that help with this, please share them!

Did you get a print out of the alignment specs when they finished your alignment?

I'm sure I did, but don't have them as it's been a while. I wouldn't be surprised if they used wrong specs or just did a lousy job, so I'm certainly not opposed to having a better shop do it.

Helps if you share details about your suspension components, age of components, age of tires, and if the height as been altered.

Stock suspension and ride height. Almost 100k miles and I don't believe it was ever replaced. Front tires are 50% life, rears are new.

I experienced this once in my C5 and it was simply because the tires got accidentally inflated to 35-37 psi.

Dropping back down to around 30psi made the horrible dartiness go away almost entirely.

Also if you are on summer only tires vs all seasons the higher performance tires is always going to be more darty IMO.

I wish it was that simple as far as pressure. But yes, I'm on summer-only tires.

If you know your alignment is good and your pressures are good, I hate to say it, but you only have one option. Try new/different tires.

Trying to alter the alignment to correct for tires is not the best course of action IMO.

Tires may be the only option. I had this happen on my other car. Bought brand new, tramlined like a madman on highway rain grooves. Replacing the new OEM Conti's with only 5000 miles on them for Conti Extreme Contact DWS 6's of the same size completely eliminated the tramlining.
