Default Driver's Side Wheel Well Leak

Our C5 started get a Driver's Side Leak when it rained hard. Researched issue -- Checked bladders on driver's side only to find out the previous owner had removed them. This is not any issue as they only drain into the fender wheel and then Out, and the car is 90% under a cover.

What I did find to be the issue was the Windshield wiper motor wires that ran into the cabin. There is a gromet that these wires go through to prevent water from entering the driver's side. Our gromet was pulled out.

With a lot of Persistence and some disassembly, I was able to get the gromet back in place. Water Issue resolved.

As this is NOT the normal issue most C5 owners come across, I thought it good to share out unique experience for any others that are having the same issue.
Had to remove the Wiper Motor Assembly to get to where the wires go through into the cabin

Hmm, I might have to check that on mine. Mine gets a wet driver side floor in the rain. I “solved” it by removing the driver side carpet.

That's harsh. just realize, it takes small hand if you need to get into that tight space where the gromet lives...

Here if ya need me
