97 A4 3.73 Shift Points
Getting ready to swap a 3.73 diff into an otherwise stock 97 A4. Mechanically, diff is ready to go and has the correct parts for mating to an automatic. Will likely need some fluid haha car now smells like gear fluid after an emergency stop on the highway (damn Detroit…)
Some questions:
1. Can I use HPTuners or stuck with LS1Edit in a 97.
2. Does anyone have tutorials for LS1Edit (if required)
3. How would I calculate new shift points as a starting point?
4. Does anyone have shift points that I could use to start?
Background: This is my first “fun” car. Bought it right out of college and learning as I go. By profession, I’m an Industrial Controls engineer, so comfortable with the programming process but learning the tools/technical side of cars as I go.
