Default Relocated MAT Sensor

Does the recalibrated and relocated MAT sensor make any difference? Should I just relocate the stock sensor?

I purchased the kit but have read on here that the recalibration doesn't seem to work well on a 99. I purchased new intake items and want to locate this sensor right the first time.

Thanks.
A first time owner and having fun buying goodies... :auto:

I bought it and installed it on my 98 many years ago. Don't really know if does anything though. It is basically a timing advance trick. It gives the PCM a lower temperature reading of the incoming air, thereby allowing more timing advance.

Here is what I suggest to everyone who ahs this Mod on a C5. Hook up an Auto tap or Ease program and see how it runs with and without the Relocated MAT sensor on the car. Chances are... your car is better dialed in with it off the car. :yesnod:

Thanks all. I purchased a PowerDuct. Should I relocate the stock sensor or just install it where it is presently located on the stock duct?

Sorry for all of the questions.

Get the timing trigger it plugs right in and you disconnect the sensor, keeps the timing advanced all the time.

I reinstalled mine in the stock position on my carbon fiber powerduct with no problems. I previouly had a "timing tricker" installed and ran into timing advance problems in warmer weather.
