Default OBD II reset

I took my 2003 Z06 to a dedicated smog certification station to have it smog certified prior to registration renewal (California) and was failed because “catalyst, OBD II reset” was the reason given. The manager said the computer may have lost power due to a possible low battery although I keep it on a battery tender every night. He told me to drive it for 100 miles. I returned a few days later after driving 160 miles and got the same result. They told me to drive it for a few days and try it again. I drove it for 160 miles (short trip out of town) and the car bucked and sputtered and died. It would not start after that even though it was trying. I pulled the codes off the DIC (PO 351-356,358, P 1416). Seven of the eight coil packs mis firing? Bad PCM ? Could this check valve cause the computer to not reset and die like this? Thank you in advance and save the wave!

The right AIR check valve if bad will cause the catalyst monitor not to run so that is that issue and will not cause the engine to shut down...the P0351-0358 is the IC or trigger circuit which sends out a signal (digital 0-4 volt square wave) telling the coil pack when to fire…the crank sensor tells the PCM to fire the injectors and coil packs when to fire…this could be a crank sensor but couldn’t tell you without testing..any recent maintenance to the car ??…if it only cranks but doesn’t start watch the Tach and if it doesn’t move during cranking that may be a bad crank sensor…if over your head diagnosing this find a diagnostic or auto electric shop in your area…as far as the check valve which is behind the intake manifold (R/H) you can try spraying a healthy shot of solvent like Brake Kleen into the hose with a shot of air from an air compressor which may help it.
