If you want the SOTP I suggest that you get ls1edit and change the transmission parameters especially for downshift. You may notice that it doesn't downshift all of the time depending on the curent gear and speed.

I woulkd say 2800 stall (2,6 STr.) Vigilante and 3.42`s

Work great for me on street and track.

There is definately nothing wrong with an A4. Living in a congested city like Toronto, driving a 6 speed can be a bitch. I will take an A4 over the M6 any day. Especially one with a converter and gears and with a TransGo shift kit!
But, that's just me. I can't speek for anyone else but me though.

Yank 3500 and 3.42 or 3.73 gears would be a good choice, in the spring i will prob be getting this combo :D

With factory rear diff is a m6 a 4 speed or 6 speed in town?
How about the track? Unless you do a lot of Hwy driving it is a waste of gears.
So really we are talking 3 speed auto vers 4 speed stick (factory) and with a 3.42 gear set on the auto, well you know the answer. :)
