Hello out there, just got a C5 Corvette that belong to my dad. Whenever I stomp on it or do a hard down shift, it goes into a reduced power mode and throws a traction control code AS well. If I turn the car off and let it sit for 10 seconds with the door open it resets itself and is all good but every single time I throttle hard it does the same thing. Anybody having this problem?

Getting the scan tool today or tomorrow and we'll post the codes. Thanks
Like C5 Diag said, you don't need a scan tool to pull the codes on a C5.
Start your phone recording video, then go through the DIC code process. It's way easier to step through your video and re-watch than it is to go through the DIC again.
I had that problem after upgrading my camshaft and attempting to self-tune the PCM on the street. It indicates the PCM senses something way out of normal range and does this to protect the engine. Is it a stock C5? Did your dad mess with the stock tune? It could be a simple as a bad sensor. But it could also be something more sinister.

IDK, maybe a knock sensor? If the computer was detecting a lot of engine knock, maybe it goes into this mode to protect the engine. Just guessing. But I would think you'd see other codes if this was the problem.
P1515
Command vs Actual Throttle Position Performance (PCM)
This could be a side effect of being in the fail-safe mode. Once in fail-safe mode, you can push the throttle to the floor and the engine won't respond. So the pedal position doesn't match the actual throttle position.
When my C5 was in fail-safe mode it through a ****-ton of codes. I don't recall all of them now. But it wouldn't surprise me if P1515 was one of them.
Hey everyone. I have now cleaned the throttle body and it is spotless. I also have found out that I can't replace the Throttle Position Sensor as it is integrated into the Throttle Bottle. Any ideas other than replacing the Throttle Body? If throttle body, any recommendations? GM doesn't make it anymore so would have to be aftermarket or something equivalent.
Who said you can’t change the TPS Sensor ??…I have NO idea what model year your car is but below is for a 2002 from Rock Auto…when you post ALWAYS tell us what model year you have as a minimum.
Are you sure the whole engine has not been changed to an LS3?
No, I guess I am not sure. What I do know is there is an aluminum spacer between the intake manifold and the Throttle Body that appears to be an adapter for an aftermarket TB. That is why I am thinking just the TB was changed. How can I check what the engine is?
