Thought I would pass this message(s) from a C5 parts vendor along for those considering replacing headlamp motors. I ran into this problem with the red/black wires reversed on the motor. An early forum post by JDM noted these replacements motors have drive shafts that are longer than those originally equipped in GM headlamp motors.
These motors come with red/black power to the motors vs. the LT BLU/DK BLU (right motor MY2000 and DK GRN/LT GRN left motor) as well as lamp wire color differences. You'll see in the image that both motors have red/black power to the motors, deviating from GM original color codes.
